The Mars Volta made Frances the Mute, which is better than most anything these other groups ever produced, but Univers Zero has the most consistent output and at least one album nearly comparable in quality to FTM.

I like TMV, too, but I wouldn't go that far. For the time, ELP's '70-73 output was mind-blowing. I also think De-loused is as good as FTM.
