VdGG and Camel are among my favorite bands. But VdGG comes first.

Watching polls here over the time I'm here I observed a phenomenally large number of polls won by Camel or their albums (admittedly usually not including the "Big Six"); can't say that I noted GG or VDGG for success anywhere near that level. Edited by Lewian - January 28 2017 at 06:13 |

My vote goes to Camel. I love these three bands, btw.

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Camel has beaten ELP in preference in the Archives, and has run neck to neck with Gilmour on the guitar preference. |

Can't believe VdGG isn't crushing Camel and GG (I like these bands though)

Well, I voted for VDGG. I think it's because Camel have a sound that is closer to Genesis and VDGG are more of an acquired taste. I think GG is by far the most well known of the three(at least in the US) but apparently that's not stopping people from voting for Camel.

The humpy ones, to make it 21 all with GG.
VDGG remain a mystery to me even after listening to several albums; Gentle Giant are closer to my heart but I just love the music of Camel's classic string of albums, and the ones after that have their moments too (say, the albums after Nude).

I can say I love VDGG and Gentle Giant both a notch more than Camel, but too tough to really vote for any one over the other. Let's just say 'Love them all equally' and be done with it.
Who concocts these tortuous polls anyway ? |

GG's first 4 albums smoke anything Camel or VDGG did... so easy vote

Camel. Then VdGG. Then a whole bunch of other second and third tier bands. And then maybe Gentle Giant if I have aspirins on hand.

Well, some people apparently think they need aspirins for VDGG so it's all about personal preference. :D

All three are great, Camel is slightly behind the other two. Voted VDGG, so unfortunately it's still a tie between the other two.

I like all three of them, but I like Camel slightly more than the others. Maybe it's because I was just listening to Moonmadness so it's in my head.

VDGG for me.
They are the most interesting and the darkness in their music appeals to me. The first four Camel albums I can appreciate, and some of their much later albums. Their jazzy/Canterbury phase was awful IMO. I never really got into GG. |

Although I very much like Camel, compared to Giant and
Generator Camelus is still in grade school. So let’s see, Giant or Generator? Tough one, but I’ll have to go with Giant,
after all, they are in my top 5. |
