Mustard Gas & Roses (abbreviated as MGR) is a post rock band formed in the mid 2000s by Isis guitarist Mike Gallagher. The band released their debut album in 2005, titled Nova Lux. The band has collaborated with other experimental artists such as David Scott Stone, Xela, and Destructo Swarmbots!. They also did a soundtrack for a film called 22nd Of May by Koen (Mortier?).

I was sceptical with the first two albums basically without a rhythm section at all. The new one fits right in, kinda Isis-lite. Added to the list.

Thanks. I was a bit skeptical myself because it was more on the ambient side for the first studio albums. The Impromptu split and the new album though were good enough I thought.
