Topic: Two more Yes albums Posted: February 03 2017 at 15:21 |
This should be interesting. Both are pretty highly regarded (perhaps the two most highly regarded post Relayer albums by Yes at least among prog fans).

Going for the One. And it's not even close. We're talking light years.

Going for the One, but I think Drama is a solid album and one of their best post-GFTO.

^ You must not like Jon Anderson's vocals.

I like Drama, but I will take GFTO over it any day.

^ Oh man ........ I must confess, the main reason I put Drama up there with the best, for me, it's Squire's incredible bass playing and how up-front it's mixed. And there's something about Into The Lens that just moves me for some reason......

I never said I didn't, I love Yes's first 4 albums, and Jon's vocals are a huge part in making it great. I love Drama the same reason I love the first 4, all of the musicians are in top form. Also, I'm a bassist, so I love how upfront Squire is on Drama.

This one's a no brainer, GFTO for sure! It's a much, much better album. I'd even put Tormato way ahead of Drama.

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

GFTO is pretty boring. Has a horrible recording. The guitar, vocals and keys have a cold screechy echo sound. 2-3 decent compositions but crap sound. Drama isn't bad. It wins
|
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
