I voted Camberwell Now as should be expected from the other poll, but boy, Berlin is so strong that I find it really tough not to vote for that one.
Edit: By "should be expected" I don't mean that I expected them in the other poll, I rather meant that people who read the discussion in the other poll should expect me to vote Camberwell Now.

Fair enough, and I don't think that the fact that others posted different mid 80s albums was meant as a criticism of that poll. Certainly it wasn't meant like that by me.

Quite the tough call between AZ And SN.
I'll go Shubby this time.

After listening to music from the albums that I didn't yet know in the poll, it still came down to the ones I mentioned in other thread. I voted for Berlin over Les Morts Vont Vite. I also love Art Zoyd's other 80's albums.
This is one of the tracks that first got me heavily into Art Zoyd from their 1985 album:

My vote: Underwater Sunlight. That was one of the last albums (I'm including the soundtrack for Near Dark, which would appear the following year) Tangerine Dream released at the end of a really hot streak that began with Phaedra. It was the last album they put out where it sounded completely different, with many new sounds and samples, than the previous album. Also, "Song of the Whale" is a side-length treasure, with one of Edgar Froese's finest guitar solos on record.
From the list, I also enjoy Clutching at Straws quite a bit, as it's my favorite Marillion album.

From this list, Underwater Sunlight followed by Clutching at Straws.
