Danger Money eats the debut IMO. These days I'd even put Bozzio (just) over Bruford [shocked face]

Both great, both different.   I will say Concert Classics vol.4  is superior to Night After Night .

Neither do I. The melodies just don't give me much to enjoy.

They were uniquely cold and streamlined, especially for prog at that time.   I think that was both their appeal and shortcoming.   More of a musicians' band, perhaps.

I can agree with this statement too. As good as Bruford is, I think Bozzio is my preferred drummer.

I saw UK when they hit Seattle a some years back, feel blessed to have seen John Wetton before he passed. Shortly after I saw Terry perform at the same venue, just him and his drum set. Amazing stuff. I voted for Danger Money. But put DM against One of a Kind and its going to lose every time.

^ Why does the inner sleeve to One Of A Kind state Jeff Berlin as The Bass and The Vocals, when it’s an instrumental album (apart from uncredited Northettes aaahs on the opening track) ???
Oh yeah, I saw a Bozzio gig in the early 90’s - totally exhilarating

Love the debut. Love Bruford but...

Danger Money is just a better album. More energy and less fluff.

DM is amazing. They basically showed ELP what they could have been doing at the time, but weren't. One of the best keyboard-trio-prog records I've heard. RIP John.

It flat-out rocks. It's okay to say it!
