1) Fragile (best sounding album I've ever heard.)
2) Octopus (Their best? Maybe.) 3) Trilogy (Side One is perfect.) 4) Aqualung (Still love this record, muddy production and all.) 5) Godbluff (Stunning album. What a come back!) 6) Meddle (Echoes. Enough said.) 7) Lizard (So weird. So great.) 8) Trespass (Never my favorite. They really needed Hackett/Collins.)

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

This is a selection of classic albums that isn't quite for me; none of these is quite on top in my books.
What is indeed on top is the Echoes side of Meddle. But overall it's Lizard by a whisker. |
