I think I'm feeling the "overrated" itch the longtimers on this forum talk about.

Anything by Led Zeppelin. Sorry, but I've been bombarded with them from an early age from various sources.

Animals - Pink Floyd

Point of Know Return - Kansas

Quadrophenia - The Who

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - Beatles

I consider them overrated, despite their having some amazing tracks.

Here are some classic rock albums that I don't quite get (overrated doesn't exist):

The Beatles - Sgt Pepper (bar A Day In The Life which is absolutely stunning)
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs (give me Beefheart or Edgar Broughton any day of the week)
Radiohead - OK Computer (zzzzzzzz)
Alanis Morisette - Jagged Little Pill (please make it stop)

I can maybe fathom the word overrated being applied to Ziggy Stardust simply because every other 70s release of his wipe the floor with it (except for Young Americans and Pin-Ups). I really like the album but it is an underwhelming experience compared to any of the Berlin-trilogy albums or Station to Station for that matter. The LIVE album though cut on the last show of the Ziggy tour - now that is where it's at!!! Every song from the album is more exciting and fiery.
