He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore

Quadrophenia, followed pretty closely by Physical Graffiti and way, way back there, if you look with a telescope, is The Wall.

I'm with you, man. Kashmir is almost unbearable. I hate it when bands grab a three minute piece and stretch it like bubblegum. There's only so much repetition I can take |

Poor old Graffiti. It's an album experience not just a collection of songs. Things like Boogie With Stu add to the character of the album. They vary the pace and give this Masterwork the colour and depth it deserves.
Coda went from a good album to, now, a fascinating view with the expanded version. Bit much stretching it out over 3 CDs as each one is still the same length as the original album. Just for the um, record Quadrophenia and The Wall are also masterpieces. Wouldn't be without any of them. Edited by uduwudu - July 13 2017 at 10:32 |

Quadrophenia, hands-down. Probably my favorite rock album of all time.

Graffiti, the only Zeppelin album that I own. Bought it for In The Light. Kashmir is probably the most annoying rock song ever to be etched into vinyl. Makes my ears hurt.

Quadrophenia, no contest
The Wall is quite good too, but it requires a bigger immersion into the music. As for Graffiti, it's just a collection of leftovers and scraping the bottom of drawers, and nothing good, outside of Kashmir and In The Light. I don't even understand what PG is doing in this list, as it's not even a concept album: it would've been much better to have placed The Lamb or the awful TFTO instead. |

All three are significantly flawed albums in my book. Never liked the Wall. Graffiti is Zep's best album by far but that's like saying measles is better than leprosy so it's Quadrophenia for me.
