I found this site back in 2004 when I was looking for new music. I wanted something heavier than prog rock and this place opened a whole new world to me. I downloaded a few songs back in '04, and for some reason I'm missing the song/artist name from one of them. No one seems to know who these guys are. I've uploaded this song to YouTube in hopes that someone here can help me identify the song/artist, as I'd like to hear more from them.

Thanks,
Dave

I'm fairly certain I've heard the band before but my mind is completely blank. Doesn't help that it's a style of music I don't listen to as often as I used to, but I am sure some of the metal guys on here will be able to spot the pidgeon in a flash.
Godspeed anyways!

Never heard it before, but the vocals sound familiar

Damn! I'd listen to this band. The drumming has a tinge of A Change of Seasons by Dream Theater. Great riffing! Wouldn't be surprised if it's Evergrey, but I don't know that band very well.

Hopefully someone around here can figure it out. I did find it here, after all. It's such a great tune!

Being that you live in Philly and like heavy prog you should definitely check out a band called Carpe Nota.

Not sure who the band is in the video though.

They have a bunch of stuff on youtube. Some of the clips from their shows at Sellersville Theater and Havanas are very good. I think they are instrumental.

I was about to make fun of all you old geezers for not knowing that music identification software exists (hell, it's built into iPhones), but then I wasn't able to identify it with that method. Apparently the song is too little known or too sonically generic to be automatically recognizable.

Yeah, I tried siri, shazam and even some other one, and nothing. That's why I came here to the experts! Maybe whoever uploaded it in the first place might recognize it...
