The two songs have major nostalgia value for me from the same very happy time in my life.

When I was a kid and Atlantis came on the radio it was really cool, nowadays I can barely sit through the whole thing...Suzanne is my fave Cohen song so gets the vote Wink

Well....I chose Donovan for several reasons. I have never really cared for Cohen's deadpan delivery of his songs and his voice leaves much to be desired.
While that's not my favorite Donovan tune I do like it....and I like his voice. It's that simple.
lplus there was a great line up of musicians on that album.....

Donovan wrote some lovely melodies; Cohen wrote those lovely lines.  I'll always take LC's heaviness over Donovan's lightness, but I probably put Donovan on a bit more these days.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....
