For me, this track is almost unique, among non-prog music, in the emotions it elicits like King Crimson or Yes. Any other tracks that do the same for you?

I've listened to this particular song everyday for weeks a couple years back. Great pop song.

Here are a few that have a similar effect on me (a sort of strange uplifting nostalgic melancholia):

Joy Divison - Disorder
The Smiths - A Charming Man
The Clash - Lost in the Supermarket
The verve - Bittersweet Symphony
The Cure - Plainsong/Pictures of You/Just Like Heaven/One more Time/In Between Days/Close to Me/etc.
David Bowie - Sorrow
MGMT -Congratulations
The Flaming Lips - The Abandoned Hospital Ship
Neil Young - Old Man
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue
Sigur Ros - Olsen Olsen
Talk Talk - I Believe in You
The Velvet Underground - The Black Angel's Death Song

I'll think of some more later I'm sure.
"Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips. Get 'em while they're hot. They're lovely. Dromedary pretzels, only half a denar."

Various Air and the Cure (various music off Disintegration) were the first two to pop into my mind. Various Mogwai too.

This presents a particularly nostalgic feel because it's the first thing I heard from Air.

Always loved that Pumpkins song. Too close for comfort though as it was that same year that I was hanging out with some pretty crazy people and doing stupid stuff like on the video.
