2112. MP is good but Rush were on their way out after the peak of Hemispheres, Permanent Waves is very good.....and MP less so - The start of 2112 gets enough prog-points to make it better than MP. easily.

Moving Pictures, because it's a more consistent album. But an epic track 2112 easily beats any track off MP.

2112 is a fairly solid album, and an important one for Rush, but Moving Pictures was a band at the top of its game. MP gets the vote.

Rush didn't hit their straps until Farewell to Kings and as Moving Pictures is one of their very best albums, it's an easy choice for me.

This is a difficult one. The album with the very best song, or the better album as a whole? Moving Pictures is better as a whole... my favourite album, I guess. But the 2112 title song is definitley my favourite from them... But I guess it must be Moving Pictures.

They're both similar to me in that they both have a much stronger side 1 than side 2, but I would rank 2112 a bit higher.

I love the title track to 2112 but side two is a bit spotty imo. With Moving Pictures I think every song is at least good. A few I can take or leave mainly because I have heard them so many times but that's not really the fault of the music but the fault of radio who over plays them(especially Tom Sawyer and Limelight). My two favorite tracks are probably YYZ and Camera Eye. I guess it's no coincidence that they are the two most prog sounding(at least to these ears). So anyway, I voted for MP.

Moving Pictures for me but it's close. The title track for 2112 is mind blowing to me. Just so intense, and that's just Geddy's vocals(haha). A Passage To Bangkok has some incredibile lyrics that RUSH never touched on in later albums, so I really appreciate that one as well.
