I'm a lot less familiar with Delay than any of the following 6 Can albums (in recording order, not release) but I'd suggest going with that one first. Both Mooney albums are lots of fun and stand up pretty well to the Damo albums imo. I'd say go with Delay first simply because it has inferior production quality (at least my version) and because it's very different from the rest of their stuff.

cheers ... thanks for that ...
my copy of delay is remastered but i know that monster will have better production ...
i am inclined to listen to delay first as it is can at the very beginning ...
not sure how i will respond to mooney the loony ...
i am so committed to damo that i expect a shock ...
having said that i am listening to babaluma at this moment ...
pretty fine damo-less can

hot rats ... only a farthing

thanks again

Welcome to the forum by the way Thumbs Up

Do you have a favourite out of the Damo albums? I must say Tago Mago is my definitive favourite.

Those albums are good for the Malcolm Mooney era. The Damo and non-lead-singer periods are great too.

thanks for the greets  ' in aspic ' ...
and cheers to you - booj for that ...

as for a fave ... i could never pick one out ...
the big three of tago / ege / future are all superb ...
i have a soft spot for 'oh yeah' because that was the first track i ever heard ...
but 'future days' and 'bel air' constantly haunt me ...
and 'sing swan song' just kills me ...

it's like the gong trio - flying teapot / angel's egg / one ...
they are one piece of work to my mind ...
( although i think angel's egg might have an edge ) ...

thanks for interacting lark-dude ...
i am looking forward to discovering new vibes in this place ...
