I'm starting to think this is just not a unique name for a song. This is a song by a band who's name begins with 'The'

"Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips. Get 'em while they're hot. They're lovely. Dromedary pretzels, only half a denar."

The Ghost Of Flowers Past is by the wonderful Moon Safari.
Kingdom - is that the Devin Townsend Project version? One of THE great vocal performances... |

I think I'm going to run into the same problem I'm running into with Home with this song ... songs with one word names probably have many different versions

Just in my own collection I have songs titled Home by Rod Argent, Allan Holdsworth, Jethro Tull and Roger Waters as well as Kraan (so is it one of these?); and by non-prog artists Danny Holien, Hothouse Flowers, Sean Lennon, Sarah McLachlan and Midnight Oil.
I have Truth by Art Bears, Todd Rundgren and John Petrucci & Jordan Rudess.
Hey, it could be worse. You could have put Hold On on your list. (Yes, Kansas, Snowball, Crack the Sky, Barclay James Harvest…) |

With that, I think we're past the halfway point ... updated the list to make it easier to find songs that needed to be guessed still.

The Kate Bush song you are thinking of is 'Aerial' - sounds the same but spelled differently ;) I've never heard of Fish on Friday, this Tick Tock is the title track from an album Masters of Illusion is by a band that's not as well known as Dream Theatre, but I think still fairly well known - and it's off one of their better known albums I think

I ... uh ... have no idea who that is, so that's not the version I was going for. The song I know is from a British band and it's only about three years old
Never heard the Residents one actually! The song I'm thinking of is from a band from California and was released almost 10 years ago.

Close enough on that last one - the band is Secret Green, formed by Francis Lickerish of The Enid. An impressive list uncovered!

Funny game! I'm just getting to old to remember all the song names (got to much stuff). Getting what kind of Prog you like helps a little. Engagement Of The Sword: Combat For The Angel - Secret Chiefs 3 (tricky one, forgot they named the single vinyls) To Tame the Temporal Shrew - Rishloo Some Questions About Hats - Slap Happy/Henry Cow The Life You Save May Be Your Own - Beat CircusInspired by easy Money I think "Bitter suite" is Dear Hunter too Edited by TheH - December 10 2017 at 08:22 |
