Topic: Novo5 - for Jazz-Rock/Fusion Posted: February 05 2018 at 21:31
Novo5 is a brand new jazz-prog-rock band from the small town of Troyan, Bulgaria wich has already released their debut album "Troyan Horses" in 2016 (one year after their foundation). They are a four-piece strictly instrumental brigade, combining the finest of heavy prog, jazz-rock and blues with smooth touches of funk here and there. Current line-up is Boyan Nenkov - guitar, Hristo Vasilev - guitar/bass guitar, Stefan Todorov - drums, Plamen Balabanov - bass guitar, as none of the musicians have previously played in familiar bands.
I can barely find anything mentioned about the album beside that website, having a page where they sell the album and the similar would be helpful. If it turns out it's some kind of demo release we might wait until they get more exposure until they are evaluated.

It's not a demo, but they are distributing it themselves, mainly trough
their facebook page. I ordered it from there, for example. It is a
common practice here, as there are almost none specialized music shops
other than such for commercial music, and in a town like theirs (less
than 10 000 people) there are even no music shops at all. The style of
music they are playing is also pretty unpopular in Bulgaria, so they are
trying what they can.
I can send you the album, so you can hear
the quality of sound. Or you can listen to it here: https://www.facebook.com/NOVO5band/videos/1165427573522341/ (where it is
also written - in Bulgarian - that you can order it).
On the CD it says: Produced at RSD Studio and HiZ Productions Studios, if that could be of any help.
Music is a bridge between yourself and perfection.
^Thanks, that will be plenty for evaluation, it wasn't immediately obvious to me that the album was self-released.
No rush, but if they do get added though then I'll need all the standard info that all our albums have, a front cover, track list with times if possible and the musicians and their instruments that play on the album.

No problem, I have the CD at home with all the needed information. I can send them right away or whenever (and if) they get added. Whatever you prefer.
