Topic: Live album shootout, heat 11: classics & leftovers Posted: March 06 2018 at 06:50 |
Oh bugger, I could've easily put these into two heats but I wanted 12 overall and a second chance heat... any album in this one that gets enough votes will be in the second chance heat, and two go through directly. Please vote! (If you haven't voted on one or more of the other heats and still want to, please do so. Soon it'll count. Third placed albums with a good amount of votes or close behind the two leaders will be in the second chance heat.)

Peter Gabriel with Kansas as a very close second.

I love Miles Davis' Dark Magus and Pangaea. Agharta too deserves mention, and I would have been tempted by it had I made the list. I vote for Pangaea.

Kansas - Two for the Show is great (especially when you include the CD-omitted 'Closet Chronicles') However, BJH - Live is the best album they ever did. An early 'best of' but played with the 'balls' and mellotron the tracks deserved. Pleased to be on my own in the voting for once ("yes - we're all individuals!........I'm not!)

The one with three of the finest guitarists ever to draw breath on it.

^ I'll have to give this one a go - another one I missed over the years, clearly!

Either one of the first three for me.
I'm going to have to think it over.

Al, John and Paco, though the rest are fantastic. I could pick any of them and be happy with it.

I voted for Curved Air, very energetic and a good selection of songs. I was surprised that they were doing well in this poll but they seem to have run out of steem a bit by now.

This is the last heat to be brought up before deciding who is in the redemption round and who is in the final. Votes still welcome and last chance to make a difference.
