I would say the hit singles came later for the most part(especially in the US). You could add "watcher of the skies" and "supper's ready" to that list though. Also, the title track to the lamb and maybe "carpet crawlers."

The Cinema Show is magnificent and just pips The Fountain of Salmacis (the first Genesis track I ever heard).
The rest are good, but way behind.

Lesser known by who? They seem about as well known as most Genesis songs from that era.

Like choosing a favorite child. Vine? No, no... Fountain? No, no, wait. Cinema? I don't know. Vine: Great story. Epic. Impressive middle part. Fountain: Incredible solos. Personal early memories. Cinema: Classic song off a supreme, almost flawless record. I can't vote. Two polls in as many days I can't vote. Logan's right, I need to make my own poll.

I'll vote for One for the Vine, as it needs the votes, but it's on a par with Cinema Show.

I was gonna say, OP; "LESSER played?! I love most of these tracks!"
Cinema Show all the way! What an amazing piece. Tony Banks shines so hard.

Fountain of Salmacis is filled with the kind of "magic" atmosphere or mood that drew me to prog in the first place (and hasn't lost any of it). So it will always be special.

Cinema Show, easily. And as far as I understand, not an obscure Genesis song at all... actually I believe it must be among the more popular ones of the classic era.

Cinema Show far and away as its one of my favourite Genesis tracks, but Salmacis is also pretty enjoyable.
