Topic: An avdenturous musical journey Posted: March 18 2018 at 09:52 |
Jean and I have decided to go on an adventurous musical journey: We will listen all the way through our collection, to each single album only once, with ten different albums daily. These albums will be chosen at random with the help of a little computer program I wrote. The journey will take a little more than a year, and we will listen to each album in completeness, no matter how good or bad it is. The albums chosen for the first day are:
Hawkwind - Doremi Fasol Latido Gila - Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee The Nice - The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack Genesis - Selling England by the Pound Wishbone Ash - Argus Alan Holdsworth - Metal Fatigue The Nice - Nice (Yes, really two Nice albums were chosen at random!) Gentle Giant - Giant for a Day Brain Police - Brain Police Hawkwind - Take me to Your Future (Two Hawkwind albums chosen too; well that's random, and we have all Hawkwind albums, so the chance for that is not so low).
The random generator chose two consecutive numbers, which both landed within The Nice, and two numbers that were twelve in difference, which both landed within Hawkwind.
We will start tomorrow.

Just snooped a bit around here... anything worthwhile to tell in the meantime? Any album you haven;t heard for 20 years that turned out to be great? Any other rediscovery?
