I saw Dogs in the other poll but no Sheep! This is not right. I’ll fix that here.

wait... so it's Dogs vs Pigs vs Sheep, in which case Dogs is an easy winner.
Had it been Pigs vs Sheep, Sheep would easily win :)

Dogs wins, obviously
If it were between the other two tracks, I would have voted for Sheep. It's overtaken Pigs as my second fave, in recent years. |

Dogs I guess, though Sheeps is quite close, and Pigs not very far either.

All three are great. If I *had* to choose it would be Sheep and Pigs, love the guitars/bass and the moody, saturine sound on those two. Dogs only falls behind for me for being more keyboard-heavy.

What is it about this album?
It's my favourite Floyd album by far, and yet I can clearly see it's not as musically varied or 'interesting' or ground breaking as DSOTM. It's not as iconic, atmospheric and well produced as WYWH, but this trio of songs never fails to move me, far more than SOYCD or Time or whatever.. |

Dogs is an easy winner for me. However, if I had to choose between the other two (as suggested by the topic title), then I wouldn't be able to choose as I have no clear preference between either of these. But, Animals is my favourite Pink Floyd album, and although I said Dogs is an easy winner, the other two are also great tracks.

My least favorite Floyd album of the so-called classic period (maybe The Wall...)....I suppose Pigs......the most coherent song on the album....most commercial probably also.....
Dogs is a solid track due to Gilmore's guitar work.......and Sheep is simply boring imho. |

Question here - I’ve heard that Gilmour plays the bass on Pigs - true or false ?? Whoever played it, that sound is so dang good. Waters loved his flanger, but this is a different sound.

Gilmour does play bass, while Roger plays the mean-sounding rhythm guitar.
