Yes John Sloman did join Heep for the somewhat maligned 'Conquest' album. Sloman's not as at home in Heep as he was with Lone Star, but whatever, 'No Return' and 'It Ain't Easy' are two of the greatest Heep songs ever for me.

Yeah 'Out On The Street' is quite proggy, great synth solo from Ken Hensley but its too short!
