A gem of progressive rock. The Knife takes my vote, but could go for Looking for Someone, Visions of Angels, Etc.

The Knife wish Stagnation and Dusk not too far behind.

Obviously The Knife. Real clincher of a track. This album isn't as immature as FGTR, and it's not quite as epic as Foxtrot (Nursery Cryme is the evolution zone IMHO!), but it's still a piece of prog rock history.

Stagnation, with The Knife in a very close second.

Maybe my favourite Genesis album. Much more better than Nursery Crime.
And better than Selling England.
There is no real weak song (Dusk is like a bridge between Stagnation and Kinife). High quality from the beginning to the end (Instead of Selling England where there is very high quality for the first three songs, but then... ). It's the Lp that I listen most of the others. Looking For Someone - White Mountain - Knife - Visions of Angels - Stagnation - Dusk. |

I also think in a way it's their best album, exactly because there's no weak song... but also I think it doesn't reach the same heights some of their later songs do.

The whole thing is great, including "Dusk", which is such a pretty little bugger. Guesss I'll go with "Looking for Someone". Pete's got some actual soul going on in that one.
