Here's to you a chain game, where to participate here is what you need to do:
1) You must listen to the song X proposed by another forumist in the last message that appears in the thread 2) Quote the message containing that song, and tell if you like song X by giving an increasing beauty score from 1 to 10, where 10 is the maximum: "wonderful, absolute masterpiece", and 1 is the minimum: "what did I do wrong in life to happen to me a song so horrible? " Just a score, for example: X: 6 (passable) but if you want you can also make a comment to the song (I especially liked the sound of the organ ... etc). 3) In the same message, after having listened to song X, you should post another song, song Y, taken from youtube, a song of any kind, progressive or not progressive, beautiful or horrible (in your opinion), but POSSIBLY A LITTLE KNOWN SONG (don't post Supper's Ready or And You And I, ok?) that you want the new forumist listen to, which will do exactly like you, he will listen to song Y, give it a score from 1 to 10, and will post another song, song Z, and so on. I hope it's clear to everyone. In this way, a forumist who writes in this thread, every time he will listen to a new song posted by another forumist, will rate it giving it a score, and he will post another new song.
Ok? Come on, listen to a new song, and then post a new song! Edited by jamesbaldwin - April 03 2019 at 14:15 |

Very dark music! Very rough sound. Score 7,5. And they remind me of Mission... Mission: "Heaven On Earth" (1987) |

^ I like that a lot, I'll give it a 7 (could go higher). The very Tangerine Dreamish "Middle Dream State" off the Journeys Out of the Body album by Steve Joliffe would score higher, but I'm a sucker for electronic music. Now for mine: |

That was a nice piece of 1970s sexy film music, also reminiscent of Focus . I’ll give it a 7. |

That was a Nico piece of 1970s avant-garde Nico. Love Nico and I'll also give it a 7. My next one: Edited by Logan - April 06 2019 at 08:37 |

^ I was hoping nobody had got as far as Nico’s 4th solo album. Something less popular is needed .

Not my sort of music at all but the echoing raindrop effects were brilliant and the whole song worked so well I think it deserves an 8. I wasn’t expecting to find a live performance of this next one . |

Iannis Xenakis, avant-guarde? very complex and ardous sound... new music for my ears... I have no good criteria for a meditated evaluation... ok, a 7. And now, breton folk: Edited by jamesbaldwin - April 07 2019 at 18:38 |

I thought it was sung very well but repeated listens would soon get boring - then they stopped and went all proggy for the second half . Very good - 8. This artist (Mort Garson) is in the Progressive Electronic category so I hope you haven’t all got it in your collections. Edited by 2dogs - April 07 2019 at 22:41 |

Virgo - The perpetual perfectionist. Score 5,5/10. A conventional folk, catchy. Wayne Country & Electric Chairs - Berlin. It's a pleasent demential cabaret. Score 6,5. Very funny. And now a group of Emilian-punk. This is the ironic demential text of the intro (0-52 seconds) "Un'erezione un'erezione un'erezione un'erezione triste, per un coito molesto, per un coito modesto, per un coito molesto, spermi spermi spermi spermi indifferenti per ingoi indigesti per ingoi indigesti per ingoi indigesti" "An erection an erection an erection a sad erection/ for a coitus harassing, for a modest coitus, for a coitus harassing/ sperms sperms sperms indifferent sperms/ to swallow indigestible to swallow indigestible to swallow indigestible. 8/10 I think. I've only heard it once so it might grow on me to become a more of a favorite. The dense atmosphere and eerie sort of floating orchestral soundwaves just works for me. I think you'd love Giacinto Scelsi (try Anahit, Aion, Pfhat, Uaxuctum or Konx-Om-Pax... if you're interested - dont you just love the titles?), but I'd like to post another favorite and a thing of terrible "Pendereckian" beauty instead: |

This sounded like the background music in one of the more up to date Mediterranean restaurants and I could imagine it being quite popular. It was well put together and the techno bits towards the end gave it a bit more variety. 7/10. I found Egisto Macchi a little arduous too but liked the erratic percussion. Perhaps I should post some actual prog rock before anyone gets put off the thread . |

Anyway I'm already familiar with this Eiliff-tune and the whole album. Pretty great. Had forgotten how entertaining it is. Kind of an infectious groove. 7/10 I think. Or maybe another 8/10. Umberto: sound-wizardly Fabio Frizzi-like horror-stuff. Proggy enough I think |
