I like PF but I love Yes, and "Awaken" is possibly the greatest Yes track ever made so, no surprise, it's Going for the One for me.

Truly bizarre indeed. GFTO was actually the highest selling YES album in the UK in the seventies, just scraping into the Top 100 (per the official BBC chart). I listened to BBC Radio back in the day (1980) and I remember the chart being broadcast. |

Sometimes, when the mood is right or I'm forced to choose, Animals is my favourite PF album, but Turn of the Century and Awaken are two of the highest points in Yes's career, so went with Going.

I love GFTO, Awaken is a masterpiece song, but Animals wins.

Real tough one, 'cause I'm much more likely to spin GFTO over Animals these days. Though Animals probably is the better album, I've heard it a million times and I'm probably burnt out on it (and PF in general).
Both great albums. Voted both.

Not a big PF fan, but Animals is one of the few masterful albums they released. While I do enjoy Going For The One, it is not as consistent. This is one of the rare times where PF wins against Yes.

I have to say that "Dogs" is a song that I love very much, as much as "Awaken", but "Pigs" and the two little piggies lean my choice towards "Animals"
