Definitely La Villa Strangiato, although it does hurt not voting for Tarkus.

yeah man.. I am no fan of Tony Banks.. but that solo was just breathtaking. The whole damn song was and was miles away the best thing that incarnation of the band ever did. He may have only done one thing of any real substance in his musical life.. but man alive... he nailed it on that one.

Well said! Same opinion here on never getting tired and the great keyboard solos in Cinema Show... I'd also add Phil Collins jazzy/fusion drumming accompanying those keyboards.

Cinema Show! My favourite Genesis track, and by happenstance I am playing it right now!

Went with Rush on this one. Pretty sure I voted HOTS on a similar poll.

None of the above. There was a time when I would listen to these songs on repeat but right now all of them feel kinda boring to me. Like, in a way that it's easy to predict what happens next and I don't feel that excitement anymore.

^ I wouldn't go quite that far.. the Rush ditty sort of sticks out like a sore thumb as very out of place. Now if the NECROMANCER had random'd it's monsterous kickassery into the poll. then we could have laid the tag of uniform excellence on it haha

It's too late for me to try to beat micky so I'll humbly also vote for HOTS (but they are all exceptional pieces of music, great selection!)

nice choices..
HotS by just a pubic hair over Cinema Show...with Tarkus only 'a mick' (last measured at an impressive 3 inches when I was 22) behind those two.

as much as I love HOTS---think Cinema show is sublime and never tire listening to it---Banks has a lot of amazing long keyboard solo's---but this is his greatest.
