USA Fusion band lead by Sandy Owen with sound dominated by piano.
They released 2 albums that mix jazz rock with other elements.
Distances is atmospheric piano driven jazz rock with extended cover of Norwegian Wood. In Sapphire House first half is rocking fusion with various melodies (some sound more familiar, some less). Short "Canterbury" has additional guitar and flute. The second part of the record is suprisingly very atmospheric - band creates spacey/symphonic/fairy atmosphere with additional vocals and oboe. Last track is return to more dynamic playing (spoiler!) Overall both albums are very good and can be listened to many times. Distances 1976 full album: 1. Distances Theme Carillon – Dr. Paul Stroud (1:30)2. Interplosion English Horn – Anonymous Friend (4:17) 3. Interlude Flute – Mitch Berman (0:58) 4. Triangulum I, II, III (5:29) 5. Thoughts (6:17) 6. Movin' On (3:16) 7. Far From Yesterday (4:24) 8. Norwegian Wood Composed By – J. Lennon, P. McCartney (11:06) 9. Distances-Reprise (1:47)
Sapphire House 1978 full album: 1. Sapphire House (4:14) 2. Doubletime (6:47) 3. Fat Cookie (4:56) 6. Waterfall (6:12) 7. Beyond The North Wind (2:47) 8. Whisper (4:51) 9. Aegean Wanderer (8:11)

Thank you, too. This album surprised me nicely, too.
Interestingly, the female vocals in "Waterfall" sound a bit like keyboards. In those slower moments on the piano - maybe a little bit Erik Satie comes to mind.

Their version of Norwegian Wood is a pretty cool mashup with Brubeck's Take Five.
