I am listening to this guy right now and man is he a pioneer in the jazz rock fusion!  He was doing innovative stuff at the same time as bitches brew by miles davis on a level equal to davis...but never got the attention he deserved! check out Rischka's Soul done in 1969, its mind blowing.  need info?  get in touch, i have some mp3s

I certainly know who he is. He is one of the finest keyboarders in fusion and had a band named "Et Cetera", who produced the album "Knirsch". He also was a member of the United Jazz and Rock Ensemble, who had an excellent line-up (apart from Dauner on keyboards: Volker Kriegel on guitar, Eberhard Weber on bass, Jon Hiseman on drums, Barbara Thompson on saxes and flute, Charlie Mariano on saxes and nagaswaram, Albert Mangelsdorff on trombone, Ian Carr on trumpet, Ack van Royen on trumpet and flugelhorn, and on their second album Kenny Wheeler on flugelhorn joined. A truly excellent line-up
