As you know, I'm always Hungary for more prog, and having recently had a Czech through some of the best prog that Eastern Europe has to offer, I've Moldova my choices and come to the conclusion that Hungarian band Solaris are one of the best bands of all, with their five albums of Symphonic Prog all Polished to perfection.  Thumbs Up

there are a few in my list:
Flamengo is Colosseum-ish
Fermata is excellent JR/F at first then veers symphonic after 78
Modry Effekt (changed names a few times) is also JR/F
Plastic People is more like Velvet Underground

but, Collegium Musicum is your best bet (they're CZ's answer to ELP).

Thanks to Sean Trane for reminding me of  Hungarian guitar maestro Gabor Szabo. I've been a big fan of his ever since discovering his wonderful albums on YouTube about ten years ago. I especially Love his gorgeous album of radiant Sunshine Pop in the style of The Mamas and the Papas and The 5th Dimenson. Let the Sunshine In! Heart

His masterpiece is 1973's Mizrab, which closes with a cover of Seals and Croft's "Summer Breeze" from the same year it was originally released!

Iva Bittova & Dunaj from Brno, Czech Republic, RIO/Avant, active since 1986 with some interruptions, apparently they even have a 2022 album out, which I haven't heard yet.
Their debut album is phantastic, see below. Also later work and Iva's solo albums are well worth checking out.
