German band formed in 1971 in Gevelsberg, disbanded in 1976.
First class heavy dirty hammond prog in style of Emerson and company mixed with Jane and Satin Whale, with more heavy prog style and pastoral fragments - recorded in 1974, released first time in 1995.
There is also second archival album Gevelsberg released in 2004.
Head of the band was Norbert Aufmhof who played on keyboards and flute.
Music has also this unpolished krautrock flavour.

Let's take for example first track:
melody of Peer Gynt + Bach + pulsing Schizoid (ok maybe) bassline...

Later there's also flute with familiar melodies and more hammond riffs and solos everywhere + album contains more or less good recorded tracks from bands carrier, including live.

Better is this afterlife then live in oblivion
and rest is silence.

3. Fly Like A Bird (5:29)

6. Land Of The Blind (7:15)
7. Unknown Soldier (7:31)

now I'm quite sure I've seen them on the stage once in the 1970's

the music partially reminds of The Nice/early ELP, Birth Control, Grobschnitt
basically early art rock flavoured, with some symphonic and jazz impact

as for that I would exclude Kraut and Heavy Rock so far

wow, great to know such obscurity from autopsy years ago! Smile

only like Bach Control without a lot od voodoo, but with more serious dramatism (I have that impression as I remember excessive great Birth Control vocalists)
...and here's a bit of flute and fuzzy bass, so it's a bit more towards krautrock
...but classical (I think) melodies on hammonds are more audible

Whatever became of this one? Listening to it now and was going to suggest it somewhere and then found it here in a search. This band is definitely in the same ballpark as Birth Control and is some kind of symphonic prog with heavy moments but not heavy all the time.

I'd say symphonic prog would most likely be its happy home but could fit Kraut i guess.

Anyways, looks like this one fell into the cracks a couple years ago.
