Yeah, but before that it was Men Who Climb Mountains (6 years ago) and pretty much every album comes after a 4 year break

Found another homage/lift.

Yep, I would imagine Pendragon are big fans of Yes and Camel as well as Genesis. Maybe not Marillion though since they were more like contemporaries but I think these bands probably think of these things as "easter eggs" and not much else. To me it's kind of a cheap trick but oh well.

You'd be wrong about Marillion.

This sounds more like an homage to "Watcher of the Skies" than a lift, but you never know what the real intention was. 3:59 - 4:32 1:30 - 2:05 |

I always saw Pendragon as a strong mix of Pink Floyd with Genesis, adding some "neo prog" (80s tones) to the mix. My favorite albums from them is imo where they go beyond their boundaries while keeping a really solid songwriting: Believe and, the new one, Love Over Fear.

On the first page there was a Pendragon song that has a similarity to the ending part of Gates but apparently that same part shows up again on the latest Pendragon album.
