Just a few Genesis songs I think could use some more attention. Not sure if all of these are true "deep cuts" but I love all these songs and don't really see them get discussed very much. Sorry for not including anything post-Gabriel, haven't bothered with the Collins material to be honest

I LOVE Harold the Barrel. Most people think it's just a humorous throwaway it seems, but I find it quite poignant and an excellent commentary on society. Thanks for bringing attention to this song.

Visions of Angels is beautiful, but Can Utility is just about the best track Genesis ever did.

I think they're all good songs, so it's hard to pick one. Maybe vision of Angels would take my vote, since it's the first Genesis song I heard. I'll have to wait a little before voting.

I don't think "Can-Utility and The Coastliners" needs any boost for exposure: it's been well established over the years here that it's a favorite among PA members.
Love to see that you included the lightning rod that is "The Waiting Room." Balls-y!

I’m curious how get em out by Friday would match up against can Utility, those are two of my favorite songs by them and I would have trouble voting.

Can-Utility. One of my big Genesis favourites, Harold and Visions are great too, also liked After. Waiting Room is interesting.

As mentioned, "Can-Utility and the Coastliners" has seemed to me over my years here to be a Genesis favourite. For me 'twas betwixt "Visions of Angels" and "The Waiting Room"; I went with the latter, partially due to The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway being my sentimental favourite Genesis album (searching for that album which I heard at a play's closing party but didn't know what it was, got me really looking deeply into Prog -- I was mostly into classical music before then).

As much as I like Harold the Barrel, I have to give my vote to Can-Utility and the Coastliners.

Wow I suppose I had no clue that Can-Utility was that popular on the site but i'm definitely happy to hear that! It always seemed like one of the strongest "shorter" tracks around that era of Genesis so I'm glad to see it is as well established as I hoped it would be. As for Waiting Room, it has always been among my favorite tracks on that album so I'm glad to see it got some votes. Perhaps a Lamb Lies Down obscure tracks poll would be interesting?

Oh wow! There are few pieces I would vote for over The Waiting Room. After the Ordeal is one of them.

For me it's probably a toss up between after the ordeal and visions of angels. I'll have to think about it.

I guess Can Utility, as far as I can remember the songs. But what I do remember is that I hate Harold the Barrel.
