I checked and didn't see this French band listed on this site so I'm going to suggest them. Very good modern fusion band. Jazzmusic archives(one of the sister sites to this one)has them listed as jazz related rock but I think JRF suits them just fine.

I can't speak for everybody, but it's quite tame kind of fusion for the most part on the album, the kind you put on as background music in a coffee house or something. Not that this one didn't have it's moments but we admit only the most progressive of the genre that contains rock elements.

Keep in mind that this site doesn't list an exhaustive supply of jazz-fusion artists. Read the definition. It clearly states that only the MOST PROGRESSIVE fusion artists exist here. Otherwise it seems every 60s / 70s jazz artist had a fusion album and we would have to add the entire JMA database.

Good. Then I hope this means the Spyro Gyra copycats Casiopea(or even Spyro Gyra themselves) don't ever make it in. Wink I see Snarky Puppy aren't on this site either so at least you are consistent with your beliefs and don't make exceptions just because a band is well known or popular.

I won't argue about your decision since I have no stake in this band. I do like some of the lighter stuff in this genre(JRF) at times but there are other places to find it(ie jazz music archives).

I do want to say though that there are plenty of mellow artists on here with little to no rock element especially in the electronic genre who are more ambient sounding. Electronic in general is often not very rock ish and I'm sure there are plenty of post rock bands on here who don't exactly rock out(sigur ros comes to mind).
