My vote goes to Richard Wright, although only by a narrow margin over David Gilmour.

this one is easy, David Gilmour's self-titled debut is my favorite.

All the others are not bad (really like also Wyatt´s vocals in Fictitious), but it´s Madcap for me.

difficult to choose, but I can eliminate Sid's first, than Nick's second, but both are still good and above them, Dave and Rick's rather good. all of those four albums are typical solo albums as side projects from the band, rather different than Roger's case with P&C (a bit like PG1 in Genesis case, and to a lesser extent Ant's TG&TG or Sid's debut): both Car and P&C were meant & constructed in a different manner, since it was a solo career debut: they had to sell, since there was no group framework for them anymore BTW, What about Music From The Body as Roger's first solo (a collab)

Syd for me. 10 years ago though I would’ve voted for Gilmour’s debut.

Wright>Gilmour>Waters>Mason>Barrett The first four got a lot of play and I still occasionally listen to them. Just never a big fan of Syd even when he was in PF

Same here. I'm not a big fan of Syd Barrett, either solo or with Pink Floyd, although he's doing well in the poll, having picked up four votes already.

Gilmour or Wright. They're both excellent.

It's between Syd and Richard for me...then David.
I can live without all of them though. |

I'd rate their debut albums in the following order:-
1. Richard Wright 2. David Gilmour 3. Roger Waters 4. Syd Barrett 5. Nick Mason

Syd, by light years. Even in the state he was in by then, that album is more exciting to me than all the others put together.
