Given some of his cover singles as well as associations with Leprous and Woods of Ypres, I could see him existing in post-metal. His first official release came out today.

From his bio on Bandcamp:

Raphael Weinroth-Browne (The Visit, Musk Ox, Kamancello) channels the energy and intensity of a full metal band with his solo cello performances. His highly virtuosic compositions evoke a sound world that is at once ancient and modern, all the while redefining expectations of how the cello should sound.

1. Unending I (5:28)
2. From Within I (2:55)
3. From Within II (5:13)
4. From Above (5:17)
5. Tumult I (3:33)
6. Tumult II (2:45)
7. Tumult III (3:22)
8. Tumult IV (2:32)
9. Fade (Afterglow) (4:12)
10. Unending II (5:23)

Thanks for the heads up, that was pretty sweet indeed

I am however hearing a modern classical type of music without any rock, so while I really dig this on a personal level I really don’t think it belongs on PA.

reminds me of Jo Quail a bit

chamber post blend in a cinematic outfit, but not really fitting our scope imho
basically I'm with Guldbamsen

maybe some other collabs will add their two cents ...
