What i really enjoy about this record that it is very original in form not is as a prog record but with very eleborate stylings ,i am aware there is an english version of this classic ,even though cannot speak italian,i just like it in it,s original format.Lots of mellotron and great guitar riffs scattered thoughout, fans of early prog should take note the violins are just sound like honey to my ears ,on guitar i even learned the intro APPENA UN PO, anyways not a weak track on the album ,my friend who is italian said it has a deep lyrical story best track for me was IL BANCHETTO,i would sound wise i would find it comparable to ATOMIC ROOSTER.Once again i thank you for reading this review. grant

Not my favourite PFM album, that would be Storia di un Minuto, and I prefer L’isola di Niente to PuA, but it is a fine album and is what got me very into PFM about 15 or 16 years ago. “Il Banchetto” was my favourite track too.

As for the English version, I dislike it.   PFM was my second Italian Symphonic Prog love, Le Orme was my first, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso was my third.

By the way, Grant, while I prefer the interactivity of forum posting than writing album reviews for the database, have you considered editing and expanding on any of these forum album reviews for formal reviews for the main album reviews part of the site? I have never been good at music reviewing, but might try my hand at it again sometime if I find any albums that excite me enough.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

The album that got me into PFM. My favourite Italian prog album.
"Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence" - Robert Fripp
"I am an anti-Christ" - Johnny Rotten

Does anyone have a decent translation of the lyrics?
Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

^ Not the whole album, but a couple of songs. In English, this for the song "Appena un po'":

This for the song "Il Banchetto" https://lyricstranslate.com/en/il-banchetto-banquet.html

That said, I have scant Italian and can't vouch for how great they are, but it's a good site or searching for translated lyrics by song (I find google translate handy too even if it isn't great). I'm not one who usually would want to read the translation, but then I'm not a very lyrics based listener generally.

I reckon it may be the best prog album ever. It has so much going on but stylistically is always fluid. It has 'another wordly' feel to it. It makes me feel good.
