I have no idea how to do this, since my favourite line-up would be Yes on CttE, so I don't see how I could take out any of them from my favourite ones. Let's see.
- On vocals, I guess Greg Lake could take Anderson's place (and he could play some bass and guitars too).
- On guitars, I love Gilmour just as much as Howe, (though the style is completley different). And he could sing too.
- On keyboards, it's got to be Wakeman.
- On Bass, I guess it could be Wetton instead of Squire (and he could sing too, though I'm not much of a fan of his singing).
- On Drums, it could be Palmer instead of Bruford.
- And there's Flute for Ian Anderson (even if it was not given as an option for instrument, there should be a slot for flute / sax, since there are such instruments within the bands). And he could play some guitar and sing too.

... and Colin Blunstone did some vocals for the Alan Parsons Project (Old and Wise). But neither is associated with the aforementioned Big Six, as far as I'm informed.

None of these musicians were in Jethro Tull or ELP though.

Sorry! Missed that line in the original post. I, therefore, have to update my submission.

Yes I did. That's why I put this Clown at the end of my post.

Carl Palmer - ELP, drums
Martin Barre - Tull, guitar
Dave Gilmour - Floyd, guitar (& vocals)
Rick Wakeman - Yes, keys (& arrangement, orchestration and grumpiness)
John Wetton - KC, bass (& vocals)
Phil Collins - Genesis, vocals (& drums)

I'd much rather have a second keyboardist though, instead of a second guitarist, in which my pick would be...
Carl Palmer - ELP, drums
Martin Barre - Tull, guitar
Rick Wright - Floyd, keys (& vocals)
Rick Wakeman - Yes, keys (etc)
John Wetton - KC, bass (& vocals)
Phil Collins - Genesis, vocals (& drums)

Two would be Lake and Bruford, three Bruford.

Update, forgot Levin...KC and Yes.

Nice picks! Smile

Just thinking - Levin: three? KC and Yes and Pink Floyd (on AMLOR)?

Keith Emerson - keyboards
Andrew McCulloch - drums
Ian Anderson - vocals, flute
Chris Squire - bass guitar
David Gilmour - guitar
Steve Hackett - guitar

but if I were to make ANY supergroup, no matter where they are from:

Roman Bunka (Embryo) - lead guitar (most underrated guitar player on this site; he is phenomenal)
Barbara Dennerlein - modified Hammond B3
Barbara Thompson (Paraphernalia) - saxes and flutes
Chris Karrer (Amon Düül 2) - lead guitar and violin
Peter Hammill (Van der Graaf Generator) - vocals, piano and rhythm guitar
Mani Neumeier (Guru Guru) - drums

bass player not needed since Barbara Dennerlein would play the pedals of the Hammond B3
