Is it possible PF are winning because they are a more well known band over all? I would think on this site they would be more or less equal in terms of popularity. After all, the album on here with the most ratings is CTTE.

Very close, but Pink Floyd wins my vote on this one.

I would argue that there are 4 brilliant tracks on the Yes Album. A Venture is not so good but OK, I could live without The Clap. I prefer Dark Side and WYWH to Meddle.

Echoes alone makes the whole thing worth it, but the rest of it is excellent too.

Side one of meddle is a bit shaky for me. I like some of it but Seamus in particular is rather annoying. TYA is a bit more consistent imo and so gets my vote.

One might similarly "argue" (at least most significantly) that The Yes Album is Starship Trooper. I'm not saying that's all it is anymore than I'd say that Meddle is all about Echoes even if it is the most acclaimed work on Meddle.
Love Echoes, but Fearless was the first major highlight of the album to me and remains one of my very favourite Floyd pieces. Love One of These Days and A Pillow of Winds too. I like the album considerably as a whole, but of course to each his or her own. Meddle for me, but then I'm more of a Meddler than a Yes-man. |

Tough choice...both 4.30 rated...for me it's Starship Trooper vs Echoes....the first side of Meddle is just ok imho...and it's one of my favorite Floyd things...but...Starship Trooper is one of my all time favorite prog tracks while Echoes drags a little for me overall...bit too long.
Yes Album it is.
