Next poll, VdGG - another prog titan! Let's see how this one turns out. Surprising myself with this choice, I will pick 'After the Flood' just to set up an interesting start!

I'm taking a flying leap with Lemmings! Smile

Lemmings is also the title of my favourite album by Bachdenkel, although they only made two albums. Smile

I can't not vote for Plague

A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers, the ultimate epic from which my username arises.

I'm not even sure what my reasoning is and what draws me to it but the track I've had most on repeat out of any of them is Childlike Faith in Childhood's End.

A band that I've never heard of. Do they have anything in common with VdGG?

^ No....not really,..... originally an English psych rock band that had more prog on the second lp. They moved to France to play and record.
But the first lp is ok if you like that early Brit psych rock style. 3.44 rating here at PA.

No, but they are British, even though they sound German, and even more confusingly, Bachdenkel had a second album called Stalingrad in 1977, with the album title in Russian Cyrillic lettering. Smile

They don't sound German ...it's  Brit psych rock(proto prog) ....the main members are all Brits...they had a German guy do some keyboards . It might have some German and French influence since they went to Paris to record and they did live in southern France so it took them almost 3 years to finish.

No, I meant the name Bachdenkel sounds German, not the music itself. Wink

Exactly. For me no VdGG-track beats Still Life (the track) because it’s so dark and messed up (lol) but we’re voting for epics here so it has to be Plague

At the end I make the very bland choice of the Lighthouse Keepers.
