Industry is my favorite HC track, so this is an easy choice for me.

I was going to say the same thing but I wanted to see who bit on this poll!

I'll admit; I was late to the party with HC, but Western Culture is like, exactly what my ears want to hear regarding RIO stuff.

Tough choice but I think I'm also going with Industry since it was what immediately demanded my attention and drew me into the rest of the album.

Easily my fav Cow album apart from Atom Heart Mother
Tough to choose but I’ll pick the closer, Half the Sky.

THis is one of those albums that I find difficult to pick one song over the others.

I'm the same, pretty much listen to the whole thing.

Hard to disagree. This was always the album I had in mind if someone would ask me for one album to best represent the genre. (Obviously, no one has actually done that. lol)

Me too.

Henry Cow is one of the greatest prog band, IMO.

Western Culture is a very good album but I prefer Unrest and In Praising.

I also prefer those albums. Western Culture is one of those albums that I have to be in a particular mood to enjoy, and it was harder for me to get into than former albums. In Praise of Learning was my first, and then Desperate Straits with Slapp Happy and also the related The World as It Is Today with Art Bears at about the same time. People into that should check out News From Babel if they haven’t already, as well as Greaves et al’s Kew Rhone (marvellous album).

I do appreciate Western Culture, but not as much as various musically related albums by Art Zoyd, Univers Zero and Present. I do think Henry Ciw is greater for the diversity over its quite short run, and it will be further rembered for the politics and its significance to the rock in opposition movement.

Gretel's Tale is great, but I went with 1/2 the sky.
Fantastic track.
Levitating downwards,
atomic feedback scream.

I'm a massive tech/extreme prog nerd, with bands like Gorguts and albums like The Erosion of Sanity and Obscura being personal favorites. This stuff is like, the seeds for that. I get the same vibes from Larks' Tongues in Aspic Parts 1 & 2 with King Crimson. All around awesome, disjointed, dissonant beauty!
