Serious question  ... I'm ok with some of Toto's pop (mainly Africa) ... hate some of it ... I'll Be Over You ...

but I have heard a concert where the band plays some decent semi-prog stuff ... so the question is what are Toto's best moments from a prog perspective? Does anybody know?

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

forget the hit singles, listen to their album tracks!!!
there is a lot of GREAT music to be discovered. toto
are a vastly underrated band and probably don't
belong into progarchives.com at all. but i can
appreciate a good pop song when i hear it and
toto's hits are among the best in that field. listen to
"mushanga" and "home of the brave" off the "7th
one" album, amazing songs.

I thought Steve Lukather was a pretty good guitarist.

I agree with that, Steve Lukather still is a good guitarist. I saw them a couple months ago live. It was a very good concert, especially one of their last songs Home of the Brave
