Pick your favorite out of the most overlooked period of Sabbath's discography.

I'm hesitating between The Eternal Idol and Headless Cross. I love Tony Martin's era with the band.

Born Again and Forbidden are my least favorite BS albums, still listenable in small dozes.

Voted Seventh Star, I love Glenn's performance here.

I agree. But even those have some great material on them ("Zero The Hero", "Kiss Of Death"). There are really no bad Black Sabbath albums.

Yeah...no. There is a point where a band is no longer the band it was, and becomes a parody.

Always liked Tyr, the cover art, the music and the gothic mood....
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

'Born Again' above 'Tyr' for me. Both are underrated and contain some pretty kick-ass songs (and dare I say, some of the songs on these albums are so much better than the mid-70s Ozzy stuff)

Most of these are definitely better than "Never Say Die" or "Technical Ecstasy"

The three Tony Martin era albums are incredible imho and to be honest. I think there extremely underrated albums within the Sabbath catalog...
3. Cross Purpose
2. Forbidden
1. Tyr
