Which album from the Jan Akkerman era (1970-76) of the legendary Dutch prog band Focus is your favourite?

Please vote and comment.

Focus used to be one of my very favourite bands. I like all of those with the second, third and fourth being favourites at different times and have I think voted for each album at different times in my time here (I think in the last Focus poll I voted for Focus 3). I do think that Hamburger Concerto is a meaty masterpiece and will get my vote despite missing Pierre van der Linden's more interesting rhythms, drumming. I preferred that jazzy approach to the more straight ahead rock style of Allen, but I understand a change was wanted. That was the album that got me to fall for Focus. I would often play it in one of my Creative Writing and English classes in high school as my teacher kept a record collection. Hamburger Concerto and Gryphon's Midnight Mushrumps were the ones I'd almost always play in Mr. Weinberg's classes.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

Well it was Hocus Pocus and the deranged vocals and bizarre instrumental breaks that first caught the attention of my lugholes, and then I heard 'Moving Waves' and that was it!

The only time I ever saw them live was in 1976 when Akkerman had quit/been fired at short notice before the tour started. They performed OK with Catherine, but not great.

Hamburger Concerto, narrowly edging out Moving Waves

Moving Waves used to be the apple of my eye, but now I'm voting Hamburger Concerto since I feel there's more listening waiting for me there than in MW. Besides, Hocus Pocus is quite a downer to my taste.

I've got plenty of ideas for polls which either don't or barely feature the Floyd at all.  Watch out for tomorrow's cracker.
