Spirit of John Morgan - "Spirit of John Morgan" - this one is so obscure that it isn't on PA :)  It's been refered to as blues rock on Discogs, but there is MUCH more to it. Other reference I saw qualified them as "psychedelic proto progressive blues rock". Add some jazz to this brew and you'll be close. On Discogs this album is listed for 1969, but some other sources claim it was recorded in 1969 but released two years later. It's definitely worth a spin.

It may be that it is not in the archives because it is not considered to fit under the umbrella of "progressive rock".

I very much agree with you here, in theory at least... and yeah, most of the times I would consider it a plus if they tell me it was all recorded in one take. That's the way music should be played and heard. So live in the studio, or just live, very often I like it better. But then, it's not a rule set in stone, if I hear an album played with all the production benefits you can think and it sounds good, or better than the live versions, then I will enjoy it too. Different methods will suit different artists better than others.

John Morgan is mentioned in the title of one of the tracks on the Circus album from 1969.

1 - Food - "Forever Is a Dream" Amazing baroque pop with a lot of fuzz guitars, imagine a mix of bands like The Left Banque meets the Mandrake Memorial
2 - Touch - "Touch" firts prog rock record made in USA (?), Don Gallucci its a great composer
3 - Master Of Deceit - "Hensley´s Electric Jazz Band And Synthetic Symphonette" Canterbury before Canterbury scene!!
