(Probably the least creative name for a metal band I've ever seen. The actual music is a lot more interesting, thankfully)

Real Loud is an American chamber metal sextet founded in 2016 and described as a "rock band with the singer replaced by another rock band", featuring a dual guitar-bass-drums line-up consisting of New York-based avant-garde musicians Brendon Randall-Myers, James Moore (guitar), Tristan Kasten-Krause, Evan Runyon (bass), Mark Sauer-Utley and Clara Warnaar (drums). Their music draws influence from both progressive metal bands such as Meshuggah and minimalist composers such as Louis Andriessen. Their first self-titled album was released in 2021 by the classical music label New Focus Recordings.

REAL LOUD (Studio album, 2021)
1. Forbidden Subjects (10:43)
2. Codependence (7:44)
3. Double Double (15:05)
4. Go In Secret (8:21)

Total Time 41:53
Released by New Focus Recordings as a digital album on Bandcamp and Apple Music on June 18, 2021.

- Tristan Kasten-Krause / bass guitar
- James Moore / electric guitar
- Brendon Randall-Myers / electric guitar
- Evan Runyon / bass guitar
- Mark Sauer-Utley / drums, percussion
- Clara Warnaar / drums, percussion

It's funny how an unoriginal name can turn out to actually be original.  I think it's perfect, so obvious, yet no one has ever used it (I think).

Anyway, forwarded to the PM team.

I don't think anyone has used the name 'Real Loud' before, but there used to be a band from Bradford, UK who were simply called 'Loud', and who released two damn fine hard rock albums (with alternative rock, gothic rock and heavy metal influences) back in the early 90s. They were a great live band too, and should have been far better known than they actually were. No prog in their music whatsoever, but if you enjoy good old fashioned plain hard rock now and again, then both albums are available on YouTube. Smile

^ Fast work.

I listened to this band earlier and enjoyed it. I was very intrigued by the description. As for the name, if it hasn't been done, I'd like to form one called Hella Noisy.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

Definitely one of the fastest. No one was in any doubt about whether or not they were prog enough for PA, so all that needed to be sorted was were they metal enough. Such an awesome band. I really like this album. It’s metal, Jim, but not as we know it…

It's metal with it's boundaries stretched into what could almost be another sub-genre, which is why it's under experimental.  It's under metal because it's based off of metal styles, arpeggios, riffs and what not, almost taking the genre full circle back to classical music.  Note that it is released by a classical music label as stated in the original post.
