I could have chosen many different combinations but I wanted it to be a 'level playing field' as far as possible...
Italian flair versus English passion - choose!  Let's see who wins on Sunday!

there's a lot of passion in RPI, more than flair.

I can't choose here because I enjoy both albums a lot. Ouch

Love both albums but with Gentle Giant being formed by three Scottish brothers they're hardly English now are they? it's gotta be Forza Azzurri!

Level playing field, and yet you have an English album from the Italians? 😜

I would have voted for PFM if it were any of their first three Italian sung albums, but given this choice instead, I go for Gentle Giant. 🤷🏻‍♂️

it's mostly Per un Amico reworked with English lyrics.

It is, and it’s a load of bollocks compared to the Italian sung albums it’s reworked from. The same goes for Banco and Maxophone. The Italian sung albums are fantastic. The English versions decidedly less so.

Both are great albums, so it's a hard choice. I'll have to wait a little before I can vote.

I'm not going to tell you how to make your polls....

but if you had used the original Italian language version of that album, Per Un Amico, rather than its English counterpart, I would vote for it in a heartbeat. As it is I'm afraid Gentle Giant is what I would rather listen to.
Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

That's the album that introduced PFM to us Brits...

So that makes two of us who have stated this outright, and I do honestly wonder how many others might feel the same way, but have not been so overt about expressing it.

I don’t really have a problem with this album being chosen - apart from suggesting it is a level playing field. A level playing field would have been the Italian band singing in Italian.

My vote, like yours, would have gone to Italy, but ended up going to England by default.

I would have voted for PFM if I could choose any of their two first albums (sung in italian of course), but PFM in english and Photos of Ghosts is kinda pointless.

My apologies for owning Photos of Ghosts rather than Per Un Amico. Hang on, Per Un Amico it wasn't released in the UK originally...
