Camel's debut was a real giant of an album, so they get my vote. Smile

I cannot vote on this poll. Both are equally great for me.

Camel's debut is wonderful, but to me Gentle Giant's first belongs among the essential early prog rock albums.

No doubt. I prefer Gentle Giant.

I love the 1970 prog.

My choice would be Camel, but both albums are nice listens.

I very much prefer Gentle Giant as a band in general, but I think their debut album is less accomplished than Camel's

I find this one quite difficult as I really love both albums. But by a smidge Gentle Giant gets my vote.

Both albums are equally great, difficult choice. Maybe Camel debut because I think is a little more consistent

For me it's a really hard choice, sine I like both bands/albums very, very much. I'm voting for Camel today, only by a hair, but I coud have gone for Gentle Giant yesterday or tomorrow.

As much as I love Gentle giant, I have to give it to Camel on this one. GG 1st has Funny Ways and some stormin' organ, but Camel's 1st is IMHO a little more interesting overall and certainly more consistent across the album.

Camel

I am not into Gentle Giant at the moment only hearing the Octopus album, but someday I might be a Giant For A Day. I was watching the giants live on tv, and then called my football loving friend if he would like to watch the Giants with me. He came over to see the "football game", but realized that I was not watching the Giants play football, but rather watch Gentle Giant live with him. He though the music was too stupid and pretentious, so he went home to probably listen to something heard 1000x like Journey or Queen's hits.

I haven't heard the whole Camel's debut as such, but for the several songs I have heard I think it's very good. As well as Gente Giant's... my favourite albums from them are the first two, before they sarted loosing their melody touch. I guess I might go for Gentle Giant by a hair.
