For some reason I've always loved Tubular Bells III. Songs from Distant earth is pretty good as well.

Distant Earth is my choice. The novel is great, so having read it adds value to the concept album.

I'm going with Songs of Distant Earth for a whole album, though perhaps the ending of Tubular Bells 3 is his greatest moment of the 90's... oh well, or perhaps tied with the Africa section of Amarok.

My vote to Songs Of Distant Earth. Could be argued that he started the New Age music thing with TB and then finished it very neatly with this masterpiece (his last probably) . Amarok should win the poll (its a prog site!) , completely barking mad off the wall brilliance.

Voted for TBII not on the basis that I'd like to listen to this most (actually none of these is very big on my list), but rather because it arguably started the series of "variations" of the base material of TB. My first thought when listening to it was "why would anybody do this kind of thing except to make an easy buck?", but then Oldfield built on it in a way nobody else has done, to my knowledge, and it all started to make some sense to me, and hat off to him for doing something unique, taking into account the whole series. OK, one could argue that the Orchestral TB already existed at the time, but that was probably perceived as a one off, and others had done something like this already. TBII kind of annoyed me at first listen, but when he did more of these, I revisited it and now find it nice and even fascinating as a "study".
