Oye there, Camel fans! Smile

I'm sure that I'm going to be pretty lonely in this topic, but I just watched the 2018 Camel gig at The Royal Albert Hall (RAH) and, once I learned how to utilize the MKV files that contained the concert, I was glad that I went through the trouble.

The show opened with the ingenious solo, Aristillus, in its original form, as it was played by the great (departed) Peter Bardens and, needless to say, that primed the audience very nicely. Clap

Andrew Latimer didn't look at his best, health-wise, but he did a great job, nevertheless, especially with the Moonmadness music.  I couldn't help but wonder if Andrew will put together another tour in the future, but, as I was watching this version of the band, I had a "beeg schmile" plastered across my ol' gob! Big smile

Well, I could never afford that journey, but I'm very happy to read that Andrew plans to tour again. Big smile

I met the band before the RAH gig and actually, Andrew looked much better than he has for ages. He was in very good form at the meet and greet, taking the mickey out of himself and full of energy. We just weren't allowed to shake his hand: you put your hand out and he out his hands round it to avoid any injury to himself. The gig was everything I'd hoped for and I even appear on the DVD.
I have tickets booked for Manchester in 2023.

...and here another PA member who actually was at the gig, even though I couldn't meet the band. Awesome performance, great night! Camel live have never let me down, but this was very special.

I could not go, since England is quite far for me, but every chance I got to see Camel, I was never, ever disappointed.
