Probably eventually but not right away, bearing in mind I haven't yet bought The Quest album.

No. There's far too many good new bands on which I'd prefer to spend my pension.

I voted No, but sometimes No means Yes (and sometimes Yes is just plain No).

While I found what I listened to to be incredibly dull, and very yes formulaic, and so I voted "No" to this Yes, it's not an absolute no, more like a very, very probably no. If I go to a record store and see the album super cheap in a cassette bin, then I may buy it, but that is very unlikely. It's even less likely to see it in the 8-track cassette bin, cheap or not, especially as it has nine tracks. I am comfortable just saying No to Yes at this time.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

Heard the latest tour of Jon Anderson with The Band of Geeks is AMAZING!

No: I haven't bought a Yes studio album since 90125.

Yes, have it preordered. I would get it at some point eventually anyway because I've got everything else as well, so why not right away. I was pleasantly surprised by The Quest, meaning it's very pleasant if not particularly great, and the new singles have been ok too.

Shocked Not even Keys to Ascension V1/2 aka KeyStudio? You'd better check that out! Best Yes since Drama, and better than anything since, IMO.

No of course not. Like most I like quite a lot of their 1970's output. Back then they were real artists. Not anymore. I'm not interested in hearing a 2023 album from them. Like Metallica I've given them enough chances. Every time time I've been exposed to someting Yes relased in the last couple of decades, it's been a waste of listening time. At it's best, a pale imitation of what once was. A new album by them for free, would simply be a waste of shelf space.

Or maybe just modern Yes or what he knows of this album. I like some Yes and some periods of Yes and dislike others (as with many bands).

I'd accept vinyl copy, CD, official cassette tape, 8-track (whatever) for free happily. Then I might give it away to someone who I thought would like it. Or one could see it, but I rarely sell stuff (only thing other my services of mine that I ever sold was an Audi. It was my Howdy Audi).

I like lots of classic Yes (Fragile was one of my first Prog loves), but I can't think of anything that I really have liked much by Yes since then. What I heard of this new album I found incredibly dull, and Yes formulaic.

I'd buy any YES album, including Open Your Eyes, if only for the novelty value. Smile

Absolutely yes !  I agree, their last few have been disappointing, but I've been following them for 50 years, and it's important to support artists even when they may be past their prime. Hope springs eternal that they've got some interesting music left in them.

The sensible thing to do is to listen to it first (on a streaming service like Spotify) and then decide yes or no. So I can only answer this as Maybe. Price is also a factor in the decision process. Yes is no longer a "buy without hearing it" band for me.
