Capside for RPI

I have been asked to propose the band on Prog Archives. Given the issues we are experiencing at the moment with additions in Crossover, I am proposing this Italian band for RPI, which I think would be a good fit.

The information provided by the band themselves is:

Info & Bio

CAPSIDE ("latin" pronunced) are a historical band from Sassari, Sardinia, Italy, formed in 1992.

They have always played their own music and over time they compact his own style, a blend of Progressive Rock (Symphonic, Fusion)  with pop and jazz influences.

The band boasts many years of experience, with various concerts in clubs and in city and regional local festivals. The line up stabilized in 1997.

As well as various demos or participation in record publications together to other island bands have assets three records:

Some notes of our last record "Ladyesis" (2023):

Ladyesis is a play on words, between the note "LA# > LA diesis", (A# > A sharp, with the international code) and "Lady" marking our female component.

It is not a concept album but certainly in Valentina's lyrics there is a common thread which is human fragility seen through the eyes of a woman, passion, filial love, war, peace, sex, madness, courage and beauty.

It begins with a dreamlike and introspective journey at the turn of the night (“Di notte”, “To the Night”) and continues with a story that mixes reality and fantasy in an imaginary classic drama (“Dea”, “Goddess”).

 A poem dedicated to our children (A mio figlio, “To my son”) and a nursery rhyme that teaches courage even to those who think they have none (Filastrocca di periferia, “Suburban nursery rhyme”). 

The inertia that sometimes condemns us to a non-life (Termiti, “Termites”) and the everyday gestures that nullify the beauty of creation (Un altro lunedì, “Another monday”).

After the instrumental “Ladyesis pt.2”, the last piece is a descent into hell in mental illness (Azazel).
